Context

A key pillar of the national economy, Morocco’s chemical sector accounts for nearly 30% of industrial production, represents the Kingdom’s leading industrial investor, and generates over 190 billion dirhams in turnover, along with more than 180,000 direct and indirect jobs. Thanks to its cross-cutting positioning, the chemical industry stands out as an essential link in industrial integration, connecting the energy, mining, agriculture, automotive, batteries, advanced materials, and manufacturing sectors.

In an international context marked by the reshaping of value chains, evolving geopolitical balances, the energy transition, and accelerating technological change, industrial integration has emerged as a key lever for competitiveness, resilience, and sustainable value creation. Through its ability to transform materials, connect industries, and catalyze innovation, chemistry occupies a central role in this dynamic.

It is within this context that the Federation of Chemistry and Parachemistry is organizing the 4th edition of the International Chemistry Forum, to be held on May 13 and 14, 2026 at the Marriott Hotel in Rabat, continuing its commitment to integrated, high-performance, and sustainable industrial development.

Building on the success of previous editions, the International Chemistry Forum has established itself as a leading platform for dialogue among industrial leaders, public decision-makers, international experts, investors, and research stakeholders. After highlighting in past editions the strategic role of chemistry in the energy transition—particularly through high-performance batteries, green hydrogen, and the valorization of mineral resources—this 4th edition marks a natural evolution toward a systemic approach to industrial integration.

This edition aims to showcase the role of chemistry as a driver of industrial value chain integration. The program is structured around plenary conferences and topical thematic panels.

As a true space for reflection, exchange, and co-construction, the 4th edition of the International Chemistry Forum positions itself as a strategic event to support the emergence of an integrated industrial ecosystem, where chemistry plays a central role in creating synergies, upgrading value chains, and developing a sustainable industry connected to global dynamics.
